Chemical Peel - Missoula, Butte, Helena, Montana

Over time layers of dead skin can build up, causing skin to appear rough, damaged, or aged. Thankfully, there is a remedy that can help alleviate all of these symptoms. A chemical peel at the Missoula, Montana practice of Northwest Plastic Surgery Associates, PLLC, has been proven to revitalize the skin. Chemical peels use a chemical solution to help smooth the texture of the skin on the face by removing damaged outer layers of skin. It is most generally used to address facial blemishes, wrinkles, and uneven skin pigmentation, but may also remove precancerous skin growths, soften acne scars, and, in some cases, help control acne.

The four chemical peels we utilize at Northwest Plastic Surgery Associates, PLLC, are:

  • Dermal Edge Peel: This treatment is our most gentle procedure for skin renewal. There is no pre-procedure prep for the skin and does not utilize any acids on the skin. In a short 30-minute procedure, patients feel smooth and soft skin instantly.

  • Transitional Dermal Edge Peel: This treatment is the next step up in strength. There is no pre-procedure prep for the skin, although a two-week prep of the skin would optimize results. The Transitional Dermal Edge Peel is a combination of techniques from the Dermal Edge Peel and the Transition Peel base solution. Our esthetician, Laura Conway, RN, CPSN, will determine the specific treatment for your particular skin.

  • Clear Skin Peel: This treatment is equal in strength to the Transitional Dermal Edge Peel, but is formulated specifically for acne and rosacea by combining a Deep Thermal Cleanser and the Transition Peel.  This treatment will help to address bacteria growth, reduce oil production, calm inflammation, and exfoliate the skin.

  • Transition Peel: This treatment is utilized to target specific skin type and the condition of the patient. A two-to-four-week skin prep is recommended before receiving this treatment. The Transition Peel is designed to allow customization by our esthetician, Laura Conway. Boosting agents are added to the peel base for increased results. This peel is used for aging skin, pigmented skin, impure, and problematic skin types.

Northwest Plastic Surgery Associates, PLLC, has integrated the Société® Peel systems because of their years of training, comprehensive knowledge base, and focused background in chemistry. These attributes have helped Société® to formulate what we believe to be the safest and most effective products for our patients.
