LORI: My name is Lori, and I had a breast reduction done. I came to Dr. Hardy through recommendations from friends, and I couldn't be happier. It was a life-changing experience. Prior to the reduction, I had problems with posture, with an achy back and exercise. I'd known since I was probably 18 years old that I would eventually want one done, and I waited until I had children. And when my last child was one year old, I decided to do it, and I've never looked back. I was probably a DDD, depending on different bras, they have even got higher numbers. I don't know how to describe it, but it's hard to stand up positive because when you stand up, you feel like you're sticking out even further. So I found that I would try and hide and roll my shoulders. I didn't have the confidence. There's many things and styles that just aren't appropriate to wear when you're that size. Exercise is cumbersome. I couldn't run, or if I did, it was embarrassing. It didn't matter how many sports bras you wear, there's just some things that you can't keep tight enough, and I didn't enjoy it. After the procedure, it's the simple things that I took for granted. I can go in, and I can buy a bra off the shelf. I can take my kids to school and throw on a sweatshirt without being completely dressed. I can run. I can wear the cute little sports outfits. I can wear anything I want. I can stand tall. I have confidence, and I look a lot thinner than I am. That was probably one of the biggest perks. And the procedure itself was way more simple than I thought it was going to be. Dr. Hardy, he knew what I wanted before I even knew what I wanted. When I first came to see him, I just wanted them gone, and I wanted them to be an A. And he said, no, Lori, I'm not going to make you an A. I said, okay, a B. I'll be happy with a B. No, Lori, I don't think you need to be a C. So I went with it. I couldn't be happier. It is absolutely life changing. I would recommend Dr. Hardy because he is skilled, he is honest, he is personable, he's trustworthy, and he absolutely will make you feel like you're his number one patient.
