Achieve a Healthy Complexion with a Medical Facial
Before administering a medical facial at Northwest Plastic Surgery Associates in Missoula, MT, our estheticians will take time to discuss and understand your personal intentions and goals. This will ensure that all your needs are either met or exceeded, while giving you a rewarding and personalized experience. During your medical facial, you will be under the direct care of a highly trained professional. We are proud to offer a wide range of treatments, from chemical peels to skin rejuvenation, to help restore healthy balance and a youthful, natural appearance to your skin.
Medical Facial Candidacy
We understand that the condition of your skin can affect your overall self-esteem and quality of life. We work hard to create individualized medical facial treatment plans for each of our patients, so they can achieve their cosmetic goals. You may be a good candidate for a medical facial if you are experiencing troublesome skin issues, such as:
- Sensitive skin
- Excessively dry or irritated skin
- Combination skin (both oily and dry)
- Adult acne
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Age spots and sun spots
Medical Facial vs. Spa Facial
Similar to a dermatology visit, a medical facial uses a wide range of specialized treatments to meet your cosmetic goals. Depending on the treatment you choose, your facial will last about 60 to 90 minutes and will be gently administered by a trained esthetician. Your treatment may include a visit with Dr. Stephen Hardy, as well as diagnostic testing or personalized skin analysis. In some cases, a follow-up visit may be required to meet the overall desired result.
A medical facial is beneficial for patients who have tried a strict home care regime but are still struggling with troublesome skin.
A traditional spa facial is primarily focused on massage therapy and pampering, but often includes products such as perfumes, oils, and chemical ingredients that can further irritate your skin. At Northwest Plastic Surgery Associates, we use the Société® skincare line, formulated with safe, natural ingredients to soothe skin.
Customizing Your Treatment Plan
After evaluating your skin and discussing your cosmetic goals, our esthetician will provide a medical facial customized for your skin type and sensitivities. Treatments may include:
We will use Sciton® laser treatment, a focused beam of energy, to remove a thin layer of damaged skin. After the skin has healed, new and healthy skin will appear. This treatment is a good solution for patients with fine lines and wrinkles, uneven pigmentation, and scarring.
- Chemical Peels
We offer four different types of chemical peels, including a dermal edge peel, transitional dermal edge peel, clear skin peel, and transition peel. Chemical peels can help treat the appearance of rough and damaged skin caused by the build-up of dead skin.
This minimally-invasive laser emits fast pulses of light to remove brown spots, fine lines and wrinkles, and acne scars.
- Laser Photo Rejuvenation
Your esthetician will use a laser to gently heat the upper layers of your skin to stimulate the formation of collagen. This procedure treats fine lines and wrinkles, age and sun spots, and other skin blemishes.
- Clinical Skin Care
We are proud to offer both Société® and M2 Skin Technologies for our patients. After much research, we believe both to be the safest and most effective skin care products on the market.
A medical facial is beneficial for patients who have tried a strict home care regime but are still struggling with troublesome skin. After treatment, most patients can expect softer, smoother, and more rejuvenated skin.
