After Eyelid Surgery
Recovery
Recovery from blepharoplasty is typically quick and involves only minimal discomfort. During the first few days, you may experience some minor irritation, sensitivity, or visual changes, such as blurred or double vision.
Following Dr. Hardy's aftercare instructions will do much to expedite your healing time and reduce discomfort. Most patients will take about a week away from work, although swelling and bruising may be noticeable for a short period of time thereafter.
Results
As the initial swelling and bruising begin to subside a few days after your surgery, you will notice the results of your procedure. Lifted upper eyelids will reveal improved contours from lid to brow. Patients with previously blocked vision should have a restored field of sight. The appearance of bags or drooping under the eyes will be remarkably less noticeable.
Patients should keep in mind that blepharoplasty is designed to treat the eyelids. Anatomically adjacent areas, such as the brow or cheeks, will not be affected.

The Cost of Eyelid Surgery
At Northwest Plastic Surgery Associates, surgery on the upper eyelid costs $3,750, while surgery on the lower eyelid costs $4,250. If you decide to have surgery on both eyelids, we will charge $7,000.
These prices are subject to change based on a number of factors. Obviously, if you choose to undergo an additional procedure alongside your eyelid surgery, the overall cost will increase. During your initial consultation, we will provide a quote and discuss your payment options.
